Company Story
Trent Newville started Excel Builders on creative design and passion. After years of building and remodeling as a hobby, and consistently delighting clients, he decided to make it his full-time career.
Before owning and operating Excel Builders, Trent was a pilot for a small commercial airline and corporate aviation. Trent graduated from Mankato State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Science, and with a minor in Business Management.
When Trent is not working he enjoys spending time with his wife, young daughter, and the family dog. Along with keeping up with his family, Trent also stays engaged in social events around the area to meet new people from clients, suppliers, tradesmen, and friends. He believes staying connected within the local community is important to the success and growth of Excel Builders.
This past March, Trent participated in his first Polar Bear Plunge to raise money for Special Olympics in Minneapolis. It was so much fun that he decided that it will be an annual event for him and his team. Visit Excel Builder’s Polar Bear Plunge blog post for details and photos.
