For this kitchen remodeling project, we were given a lot of freedom. We wanted to showcase our technical and aesthetic capabilities, and this was the perfect chance to do so. This Minnesota family needed new cabinets for storage, an additional room to keep their children’s filth away and an all-around style update.

This family already had existing elements that we were able to work with. We started with the major wood elements in this kitchen – the cabinets and floors. We replaced their old cabinets that weren’t supplying enough storage space, with custom built cabinets made out of high-quality alder wood. Incorporating specially designed pull-out drawers, nooks and spaces, we accommodated this families turbulent lifestyle. Additionally, we refinished their existing oak floor with a gleaming high-gloss lacquer.
Next, we added a “mud room” for this family, so the mother wouldn’t have to deal with her children tracking their dirty shoes around her beautiful new kitchen. The extra storage now keeps coats and shoes (and smell) out of her kitchen.
After this, we fixed up the counters, installing granite countertops – which look great with the all the new appliances we put on top of them. For aesthetic purposes, we hooked up under cabinet lighting that lights up the counter when reflected off the new tile backsplash.
