We recently had the opportunity to complete a fun and unique exterior project – the removal and replacement of a barn roof! When you’ve been in the construction and remodeling business for as long as we have, there aren’t many projects you haven’t tried before. However, this was a first for us. The roof had the original barn shingles as the first layer, topped by a layer of asphalt shingles. We began by removing both layers of shingles. Next, we installed a new layer of roof sheathing. Finally, we began the installation of the new roof. To give our customers a 50-year warranty on their roof, we installed GAF high definition shingles and GAF products.
Despite this being our first barn roof, the project turned out truly great – if we do say so ourselves!
