Kitchen Remodeling Project in Fridley, MN

We recently completed an exciting kitchen remodel in a Fridley, MN home.  The two-story, 1950’s home featured a 25-year old kitchen in desperate need of a facelift.  The room sported vinyl flooring, dark cabinets, and an awkwardly placed door leading from the kitchen to the front of the house.  Our clients requested that we eliminate the door in order to make the space more usable, so we began by removing a load bearing beam and filling in the door in order to open the room up.  Next, we installed new cabinets and replaced the kitchen’s existing counters with Cambria countertops.  We retiled the floor and installed a floor heating system.  Finally, we added some punch and personality to the room with a custom retiled backsplash
The remodel took just over two months and is the perfect example of the way in which a full room renovation can be completed within a space’s existing footprint.  This was also an exciting project for the Excel team as we had the opportunity to create a custom kitchen from floor to ceiling!
