“We used Excel Builders this past winter for a large remodel project that included expanding our upper ½ story and finishing our lower level. Trent and Maggie were so easy to work with, and really made what could have been a trying experience relatively painless.
My husband was very impressed with how easy it was to contact Trent. If he called Trent it was unusual to not have the call returned within an hour or so, and in talking to others who have worked with contractors I have found that this is almost never the case. Both he and Maggie really listened to us and what we were expecting from this project, and it turned out far better than we were hoping. There were of course some setbacks, but none worth mentioning specifically because 1) there’s no way to handle a project of this size without some hiccups, and 2) said hiccups were handled so efficiently and HONESTLY. I hate to think about some of the other contractors we interviewed. I’m sure there would have been significantly more issues, and we just don’t know how they would have been resolved.
We have 3 big dogs, and one was recently rescued from a horrific situation. She was very scared of new people, but Trent always took a few minutes to sit on the floor with all three for some tummy rub time. It was a gesture that went even further with me than it did with them!
Right to the end, when Trent gave us a gift basket that contained wine, Twins tickets, and dog toys (if you knew us you’d know how perfect that touch was!), we have been nothing but impressed with Excel Builders. There are other projects that we’ll be doing in the upcoming years, and we won’t go through the contractor interview process ever again. With the care, communication, quality work and professionalism, Excel has definitely gained our loyalty. Thanks again to Trent, Maggie and everyone else involved in our project.
