The home was built in the mid 80’s by the current owners. Our clients decided they would like to start updating their home one room at a time, so the went to Angie’s List and found excel Builders. Our clients explained what they liked and disliked about their current
bathroom. Through our designer and our design process their bathroom was designed to meet their wants, needs and style.
We removed a bathtub and surround, with this we could make the shower about one foot wider, and a curb less shower as well. Along with adding a tiled shower, all the walls in the space were tiled from floor to ceiling.
In the shower, we added a rain shower head, and a handheld shower. We added controls so, one, two, or both devices could be running at any time. In the shower, we added a wide shower niche to hold all of our client’s shower accessories, and below we installed a ADA grab bar for
assistance with sitting on the tiled shower bench.
Outside the water closet we built a small wall to divide the bathroom from the bedroom area. Built custom walnut vanity with four drawers, dual sinks, along with a custom built-in shelf to match the vanity. Then we topped the area off with coordinating stone and tile to compliment
the water closet, high end hardware and accessories, a full wall mirror, LED sconces, and recessed cans.
In the end, for a small space, there was a dramatic change and accomplished to make our clients very happy.
